• Torang Trust was founded in the year 2005 by the joint efforts of Dr. Ram Dayal Munda , great tribal scholar and leader and former Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University and former Member of Parliament (Upper House of the Parliament of India) & the member of National Advisory Council, Dr B.P.Keshri, former professor of Ranchi University, Dr. Vasavi Kiro, Journalist turned social activist and other eminent personalities of Jharkhand.

• These People hold high dreams for Jharkhand and its tribal community. They were actively involved in the struggle to get Jharkhand to be recognized as a State, which finally came into existence in the year 2000. The trust, now runs under the leadership of Dr. Vasavi Kiro and Dr. P.P Hemrom.
  In TORANG NOW all the board of Directors are young. Prerna Kunti Kindo is 23 years old and she is Board of Director. Surendra Oraon is 33 years old and he is Executive Director. Treasurer is Priya Kujur and she is 22 years old. Other board members are Divya Nag 22 years, Rajendra Munda 27 years, Ravindra Munda 29 years old. All young board of directors are educated and dedicated full time to the organization. Prerna Kunti Kindo, Priya Kujur , Divya Nag are female. They have been associated with TORANG TRUST for the last one years. Rajendra Munda and Ravindra Munda are associated with TORANG since last 16 years.
